Yes, and if this is true I can drink a lot of water.

Ok, let me get to the point. Water is very important for our health. Most of our body, 60-70%, is water. Water is required to maintaining a healthy weight and nutritious diet. Water is also required to process nutrients, for normal circulation and to keep proper balance of fluids. So drinking a lots of water is important to maintaining good health.

After you have worked out for 30 minutes, you should drink two 8 oz. glasses of water. Thirsty while working out, consider using a sports bottle to keep yourself hydrated. As a general guideline you should drink at least 6-8 8 oz. glasses per day. To keep good hydration you can trust your senses combined with simply how many glasses of water you have had during the day.

You may become dehydrated before you are actually thirsty, so you should learn to drink water on schedule. Drinking less water can lead to chronic dehydration. Over a period, this condition can contribute to a wide range of common medical conditions like osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and may also lead to allergies and asthma. This will not happen in a day or two or a year or two. Chronic dehydration may go unnoticed for many years. And then the sign and symptoms begin to appear.

Water also plays an important role in elimination of metabolic waste from the body. If you drink less water, it is like using the toilet in your house without flushing it. What happens is anybody’s guess. The metabolic waste keeps accumulating in the body, this when combined with fat cells forms cellulite. The hard fat which is not easy to lose.

In our body, the same hormone is responsible for the feeling of hunger and thirst. Sometimes when you are feeling hungry, it can simply be thirst. Drink a glass or two of water. If you were thirsty, you will feel satisfied. If you were hungry, you will have the urge to eat again. Also if you drink water before your meals, you will tend to eat less and feel full early. This will also help you to absorb less calories from the food you eat and may thus help you to lose weight.

We humans have been designed, primarily to drink a lot of water. This is one nutrient which we tend to overlook. Avoiding water can be a disaster for our health. Drinking less of water in favor of beverages full of sugar can be bad for our health. Obesity, chronic fatigue, heart burn, headaches, stiff joints, asthma and allergies can get worst because of dehydration.

Now the question is how much water is required? Generally speaking try to consume 1 liter of water for every 20 kg body weight. For example, if your weight is 60 kg, you should drink 3 liters of water. Drinking at least 2 liters if necessary to have a good health.

Water is essential for good health. You can remain healthy and also lose weight by consuming a proper quantity of water every day. Therefore go ahead and drink water, lose weight and improve your health.
